Oak Park YMCA wants to offer swim classes for homeschoolers. For a class, they need at least 4 students. The Aquatics Director is very flexible and would like to have homeschool swim classes. The teacher is very good at working with children of different ages and abilities in the same class.

Home School Swim and Gym is a time for families that have chosen to home-school their children. Children will enjoy an hour of swim lessons followed by structured physical fitness education. YMCA staff will plan a variety of physical activities with the input of the parent(s) and children.

Homeschool Connections will be hosting a Spelling Bee on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at 2:00 pm. The bee will be held at the Rochester Hills Public Library and all homeschoolers in Oakland or Macomb Counties are welcome to participate.
