    Seven Ponds Nature Center Homeschool Adventure Series

    Seven Ponds Nature Center in Dryden offers the Homeschool Adventure Series will get homeschool students excited about nature. It will be a time to enjoy the natural world while exercising our minds and bodies. Participants will enjoy outdoor activities like snowshoeing, canoeing, and hiking. There will be four sessions in total starting in January. Fee: $40.00 for all sessions. Limit: 15 students. For children in grades 3-7. January 25 Snowshoeing 2:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. March 21 Owl Prowl 6:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. April 25 Canoeing 2:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. June 20 Sensory Hike 2:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.

Come and help them celebrate Earth Day by spending the day at Fill in the Blanks as their guest.     Project Learning Tree workshop

    Hawk Woods Nature Center will be hosting a Project Learning Tree workshop for naturalist, home school parents, pre-service teachers and of course K-8 teachers. Project Learning Tree is a national model of environmental education. The workshop will be on Saturday, November 22, 2008 from 9-3.     Homeschool Class at Madison Heights Nature Ctr

    Homeschool Class at the Madison Heights Nature Center Here are the upcoming Homeschool Classes at the Madison Heights Nature Center.  For the Fall season, the classes are all on the third Thursday of the month from 10:00 A.M. until about 11:30 A.M.  These classes are geared for students aged 7-12, but check with Matt (the naturalist) about the ages – as long as they are able to participate.  Parental assistance is welcome.  Also, please dress children for the weather as Matt often plans nature walks as part of the lesson.  The classes cost $3.00 per child (resident of Madison Heights); $4.00 per child (non-resident.)  The code numbers after the class…
