Class Act 4-H – 10 Nights in a Barroom

Class Act 4-H Drama Club production
Our latest production: A turn-of-the-century, temperance-era, musical melodrama!
Oddly titled: 10 Nights in a Barroom

So, what is it? This is a typical melodrama with an evil villain (remember Snidely Whiplash?), an innocent maiden (saved from the clutches of the villain just in time), a dance hall girl with a heart of gold who turns to good, a strong brave hero who rescues the damsel in distress, and lots more.
The play tells the story of what happens when there is a “Tavern in the Town”! (one of the fun songs they sing!)

The songs are authentic songs from the 1930’s when this play was written.
Kids ages 5-17 are performing in this show. Costumes, sets, and music are all done by students. Many of these kids are homeschool students of the area!! Appropriate for all ages.
