Backyard Birds of West Bloomfield Saturday, February 17 from 10-11:30 am at the Recreation Activities Center, ages 13+ Learn about the importance of birds to our ecological diversity and discuss some of the citizen science projects West Bloomfield Parks participates in for the betterment of birds—and humankind! You will collect our bird count data within a 30-minute bird viewing experience on the Civic Center Trails. Voyageur Canoe at Oakwoods is August 12, 2023, 10am-2pm. A guided paddle tour of the beautiful backwaters of the Huron River in a 34’ replica of a voyageur canoe. Help paddle along the marshes as they search for the wildlife that calls this area home. From Beaver and Muskrats to Egrets and Swans; you never know who you will encounter on this leisurely trip.
