Her work, comprised of small to medium sized hinged boxes and box assemblages, includes scraps of wood, fabric, and found metal objects—cast off materials that Baron recombines into works that are compelling meditations on history and the human condition. Flint Institute of Arts – E=MC Esche http://flintarts.org/programs_family.html Saturday, April 5, 1:00p–4:00p Hodge Gallery and Studio 5 M.C. Escher’s art was created using simple math and geometry. Children and caregivers will explore Escher’s artistic tessellations. Participants will take a special guided tour of the current exhibition, M.C. Escher: The Rhythm of Illusion http://flintarts.org/exhibitions_upcoming.html#Escher, and learn about the life and work of M.C. Escher. After a light snack, guests will create Escher-like tessellations from their favorite objects, so bring your object along! Registrations are due by Monday, March 31.
